Placing Orders
To place an order, simply fill out the details and fax or post the order form (pdf) to us.
Pricing Policy
As we have many imported products which are subject to currency fluctuations, we reserve the right to change existing prices at any time. If you are on a strict budget, ring or fax us before ordering to obtain the correct price.
Minimum Order
To cover ever-increasing costs of packaging and despatch, we have a $35.00 minimum order policy (excluding freight).
Insurance (Within Australia)
NAS have no insurance arrangement with IPEC so where consignments need to be insured, please advise us. Note that Toll/ IPEC can insure goods; however, they charge 4% per consignment based on invoice value. If you nominate your own carrier for freight forwarding, NAS take no responsibility for damage that may occur during delivery; we expect full payment and will not accept returned goods in those circumstances.
Freight Forwarding (Within Australia)
For all small parcels (under 20 kilos), we despatch via Australia Post, who offer the most economical service. Next day Australia Post Express delivery satchels are ideal for urgent orders; 500g for $8.00, 3kg for $10.90 and 5kg for $18.50. Larger and heavier goods may be also sent by Express Post, but prices rise considerably.
Shortages
No claim for shortages will be accepted after 5 days from the date of delivery. Upon receipt of goods, ring immediately and obtain a claims number from NAS to ensure your credit via our computer memo system.
Returns
Returns only by prior arrangements within 30 days from delivery and through our authorised carrier or at claimant's expense.
Dangerous Goods
Dangerous goods can be sent through road transport services if contents are stated on the consignment label. This now includes ferric chloride etching solutions and all solvents and spray cans, but higher costs are then incurred.
Note: Freight carriers now charge an additional fee as a dangerous goods surcharge.
Despatch Time (Within Australia)
We usually allocate 2 working days for packing up of most goods; however, heavy items such as crates of zinc may require several more days for timber crating.
